Dogs Who Saved People's Lives!!!

A dog is a domesticated carnivore of the family Canidae. It is part of the wolf-like canids and is the most widely abundant terrestrial carnivore. Dogs are the friendliest carnivores. 74 Percent of people on earth are dog lovers, the dogs are so intelligent and smart, so smart that they can sense the weathering or can get to know that there is something wrong with that person and go search for help.
I'll just give a few more information about dogs, so:
Lifespan: 10-13 years
Gestation period: 58-68 days
Family: Canidae
Order: Carnivore
Kingdom: Animalia
This was the little information about dogs.
So as it's given in the title itself, I am going to be informing you all of 3 dogs who helped their owners or dogs who saved people's lives!

* Sako - Sako was a shepherd and was just 4years old. Joseph Phillips-Garcia, who was 16 at the time, was on a road trip through British Columbia with his aunt and cousin. Joseph was asleep in the back when he woke up as their truck tumbled off-road, and rolled down a steep embankment more than 300 feet into the woods. Joseph and Sako were the only two passengers who were thrown from the vehicle and the only survivors of the crash.

Joseph was suffering a broken femur and collar bone, as the forest was really dense and no one would ever walk around there, Joseph was left completely immobile and helpless. He remained in the woods, drifting in and out of consciousness while left vulnerable to cold, hunger, and attacks from the predators there.

However, Sako did not abandon Joseph and stay by his owner's side. Sako kept trying to make Joseph feel warm, and protecting him from succumbing to shock, and guarding him against predators. While Sako was protecting and taking care of Joseph the police and Joseph's family were finding the crashed truck, after 40 hours they found the truck and Joseph, he explained how Sako had helped through his pain.This is a picture of Sako and Joseph.

*Babu- He was 12 years old and was a Shih Tzu breed, his owner's name was Akanuma who was 83 years old.

Akanuma was relaxing in her home which is located about 200 meters far from the sea. So, that day while she was relaxing, the quake struck off the Tohoku coast and the lights went off. Babu had sensed the Tsunami, so he started scampering around the room, whimpering loudly and madly wagging her tail, he was trying to take Akanuma out where it's safe.

It wasn't even his walking time, but the dog’s apparent agitation prompted her to put on the leash. As they were about to leave the house a warning of a huge tsunami heading toward the coast was broadcast over the town’s community speaker system.

Akanuma had experienced a lot of earthquakes and was always a survivor.
As soon as she opened the door, Babu bolted in the direction of a nearby hill (because he knew hills are always safe) in the opposite direction from the one they took for their usual walk. He always used to stop to turn and look at Akanuma as though urging her to walk faster. Each time Akanuma caught up, Babu bounded ahead, straining at her leash. He repeated the same again and again until they had attained the crest of the hill about one kilometer (0.63 miles) from their home where an evacuation center was later established.

Moments after they stopped to look back, a towering tsunami slammed into the town, flattening the entire district of Taro-Kawamukai where they lived, their house was covered by the water. Akanuma then understood why Babu was doing this, she could not thank him enough.This is a picture of Babu and Akanuma.

* Kilo - He was 12 years old and was a Pitt-bull. He took a bullet for his owner (Justin Becker). He was injured after a robber posing as a FedEx delivery man forced his way into Becker's apartment in Graniteville on Saturday afternoon.
When the robber took out the gun and was about to shoot his owner, Kilo leaped over and took the bullet shot instead of Becker.

The bullet hit the brave pet in the head - but ricocheted off his skull and exited through his neck. He is almost recovering now.As you could see in this picture, he had suffered a lot.

See the dogs are really smart and even give their lives for their owners. Don't you all think not only dogs all animals should be treated well?

Grade 5 - What If I Discovered A New Planet??
