Feast Of The Nativity

Wondering what is 'Feast of Nativity'? It is an annual celebration celebrated in the month of December across the world among the billions of people.
Yes, it is one the biggest celebration celebrated across the world and it is none other than "Christmas : Birth of Jesus Christ".

A feast initiates the season of Christmas, which historically in the west lasts 12 days and result on twelfth night. The traditional Christmas states that the Nativity of Jesus, according to the New Testament - Jesus was born in Bethlehem. When Joseph and Mary arrived into the city, the inn had no room and so they were offered a stable where the Christ Child was born, with angels publicly announcing this news to shepherds who then further spread this information was spread and reached many people quickly. The month and the birth date of the Jesus was unknown hence, the Church in the early 4th century fixed the date as December 25th which falls in the winter on the Roman calendar. Most of the Christians celebrate on December 25th as per the Gregorian calendar, which has been universally adopted in various countries throughout the world. However, few part of the Eastern Christian Churches celebrate Christmas on December 25th of the older Julian calendar, which currently corresponds to January 7th in the Gregorian calendar.


Christmas day is public holiday around the world is celebrated religiously by Christians and culturally by non-Christians. Hence it forms a holiday season around the world. During this holiday season people exchange gifts, Christmas cards, church services, a special meal, and the display of various Christmas decorations, such as Christmas trees, Christmas lights, nativity scenes and garlands. Children believe that Santa Claus will come in this sleigh along with reindeer goes around the city by placing the present in front of the house.

  My passion Everyone has their own passion. My passions are art and cooking. Since childhood, I have learnt drawing and painting which had both modern and traditional arts.
