Everybody works hard in order to fulfill their dreams. Just like others, I am even an ambitious person and I always try to achieve what I deserve and what I am capable of. Few months back, i had a very sweet dream in which I saw that i was in a room teaching 190-20 poor students and they were all happy with me.
The next morning I woke up and decided that this was the noble idea that i should transform into reality very soon. So, next day onward, I started to gather information from 2-3 Nov governmental organizations near my home so that i could join in, or provide some support to the young street children who are otherwise destitute. I had to work hard a lot and eventually I gathered information about the approximate number of poor children in our community at present. I then went to them personally and spoke with them.
Most of them lay half fed for most of the days. I tried and arranged foods for them and served them rice, dal and other foods with the support of two other friends of mine. Later, I started to call these children to my room and started to give regular tuition to them in my own room. Initially they were not very eager and I really had some trouble time with them. So I started to play indoor games with them and converse more and more with them.
This helped me to get closer to their hearts. Then they started to cooperate with me and every evening they started to come to me for classes. Within a matter of 6 months, I was able to uplift the conditions of these children as well as their families. This was possible by arranging funds from other residents of our locality and utilizing these on their betterment.
Finally, I could set up an N.G.O. of own own and i feel proud to realize that it has been one of the most important dreams that I could transform into a reality. Dreams are always important because they present some visions to us which we start to fulfill. Today when I stand in front of these children, I feel very happy and proud as their teacher, their friend, their philosopher and their guide.
Yes, dreams do come true and in my case, the journey from my dream to reality completed after six months. Nothing can be more wonderful to me than this.
