My sister's first birthday celebration

My sister's name is Kashyapi Nithya. Her first year birthday was on 29th August, 2021. We first took a paper and wrote the list of items to be bought, whom to invite, what snacks to serve everyone and what return gifts to buy.

We were in two minds where to celebrate the party, in terrace or inside home. We decided to do it in the house because it was raining the whole week. After that, we searched for a beautiful cake. My mother ordered for a Jungle theme cake and the flavour was German Chocolate. It had two layers of chocolate and one layer of vanilla with cashewnuts. It looked awesome and tasted yummy! My parents gifted her a Durga Devi gold pendant. Then we started buying decorations from Amazon and it was also an animal theme.

My sister was looking beautiful with her blue and pink frock. We invited our relatives and neighbours to the party and it was really amazing. We gave them fruit drinks, cake, chips and kit-kats. They have given amazing gifts for my sister like dresses, toys etc.We have also given them return gifts, that was a unicorn clock with pen stand. The decorating items were ribbons, balloons, happy birthday sign boards, pom-pom balls and different types of animal pictures.

Everyone gave blessings to my sister and it was a wonderful experience. My grandparents living in Hyderabad and my aunt in Texas could not attend the function due to Corona. They saw the function in Whatsapp video call and were very happy with our celebrations.

Grade 5 - What If I Discovered A New Planet??
