My journey to Madurai By Vedant S _4C
My journey to Madurai
Madurai is a religious city in Tamil Nadu. It is widely known for its famous temples. In my visit I went to a temple called Azhagar temple. This temple has many cultural practices. I go to the temple every year.
A journey is mainly described for its adventurous qualities. Mainly people enjoy it as it is so much fun and it is the place where we get to relax. Journeys normally are fun when we go on any transport. These days fewer people go on trips as the new variant of COVID-19, Omicron is rising. Journeys are one of the things which makes us happy. People normally go on trips to attend functions, go to temples in their native and take blessings from god and many more. While some people go travelling to discover new things and find ancient artefacts, others go to have a lot of fun and enjoy. Now I am going to talk about my journey to Madurai.
It was the 28th of December and today we had to travel to Madurai and our main objective of visiting Madurai was to go to Azhagar temple and seek blessings from the lord. We were going to go by train. Our train was at 9pm and so we had a lot of time to do our chores. Once the clock struck 6pm we booked the taxi and got ready to leave for the station. When we reached, we had 2 hours’ time and so I and my father went to the other platforms to see other trains arriving and departing. Soon it was 9 and he train arrived at the platform and everyone started boarding. The train took 45 minutes to leave the station which was unusual. Once it left we started to sleep and then when I woke up we had almost reached Madurai. Once we reached Madurai station we got down from the train. We walked to the hotel. Once we reached we brushed our teeth, had our bath and went for breakfast. Soon after having breakfast we went to Azhagar temple and had a good prayer and came back to the hotel. Then it was lunch time and we went for lunch and after having lunch came back to our hotel and slept. After we woke up we took a tour around Madurai and came back. By that time it was 7pm and it was time for dinner. Once we finished dinner we came back and spent some time in the hotel. It was 10:30pm and we left for the station. Our train was at 12am and so we stayed in the station until we arrived. The moment the train arrived everyone started to board it. After that we all slept cozily on our beds until we reached Bangalore.
This was an amazing trip to cherish. I will remember this day for a long time to come. Also my best part was to see the lord and the train ride.
