The Mysterious tale of Rip Van Winkle Part 1

 




Rip Van Winkle was a kind man but Rip was a careless person he would solve others problem and he would never solve his own problems. His wife Dame Van Winkle was frustrated she kept nagging but Rip always shrugged his shoulders. One day Rip decided to go to the haunted Catskill mountain in order to escape his wife's nagging.He took a gun and his loyal dog, Wolf. Rip rested in the Catskill mountain, till evening he took rest and when it was getting dark he was about to go, a hoarse voice called out his name "Rip Van Winkle Rip Van Winkle" He saw a outline of a old man. The old man was wearing old - fashioned clothes he had a barrel with him. The old man said "Can you please help me to carry this barrel as it is heavy for me". Rip being a kind person did not refuse.When he reached there he saw many people dressed like the old man. Rip remembered of the discoverers of Catskill mountain and he understood that the people who he was seeing were the discoverers of Catskill mountain.They gave him a magical drink and he drank 3 glasses of it.
